2025 Future Tech Fellowship for Nigerians
The Future Tech Fellowship is FutureMap Academy’s flagship initiative designed to close the gap between raw potential and professional readiness in Africa’s tech ecosystem.
Rooted in the belief that access to world-class training should be both practical and inclusive, the program offers immersive, hands-on learning in three high-demand tracks: product design, software development (front-end and back-end), and data science.
Modelled after industry-leading programs, the fellowship prepares participants to thrive in today’s fast-paced, innovation-driven workforce.
Each track begins with an intensive learning phase focused on practical, hands-on training. Participants engage in live sessions, case studies, collaborative projects, and interactive labs designed to simulate real-world work environments.
This is followed by an internship with a partner organisation, allowing fellows to apply their skills in live production settings, gain industry experience, and begin building their professional portfolios.
Beyond technical training, the fellowship emphasizes soft skills and career readiness. Fellows are mentored by experienced professionals and guided through team-based challenges that foster collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
By the end of the program, participants don’t just walk away with technical knowledge, they graduate with confidence, real-world experience, and a strong foundation for launching impactful careers in tech.
