2026 Tokyo City University Scholarship
Tokyo City University are pleased to announce a scholarship open to privately financed international students entering a master’s course at Tokyo City University (TCU) and who wishes to continue to a doctoral course.
The Tokyo City University Scholarship is intended to partially cover the expenses of establishing a suitable study environment.
The goal of this TCU scholarship 2026 is to educate leaders who, building on their research and achievements at TCU, will take an innovative role in an international society as well as a bridge among TCU and their countries and universities.

Criterias for the 2026 Tokyo City University Scholarship
- have completed a total of 16 years of education in his/her country.
- excel both academically and personally, and can be expected to make significant contributions in research and to the internationalization of the university.
- fulfill the purpose of this scholarship, it is limited to those applicants who are within two years of obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
- have achieved academic results within the top ten percent at a university within the top ten percent of universities in your country.
- be able to submit a letter of recommendation from the president of the university where the above results were achieved.
- be enrolled in a master’s degree course, and to continue to a doctoral degree course at TCU Graduate School.
- not be receiving any other scholarships
The Tokyo City University Scholarship offers;
- Scholarship:Â the value of the scholarship is 1,000,000 Japanese Yen per year (offered after entering Japan)
- Tuition fee:Â exemption from the entrance fee and tuition fees (application fee required)
- Accomodation Fee:Â full financial support of the initial and monthly rent payment of TCU designated dormitory
Required Documents for TCU Scholarship 2026
TCU is offering this scholarship to international students who are enrolling in a master’s course and plan to continue into a doctoral course in one of its elite graduate schools:
- Graduate School of Integrative Science and Engineering
- Graduate School of Environmental and Information Studies
- Submit a Prior Consultation Form (Form B & D) to describe your intended field of study.
- You will be assigned a supervisor who matches your field of study and interest.
- Applicants who apply for this scholarship must apply for the Graduate Schools at Tokyo City University separately from the application for the scholarship.
- TCU will screen prospective academic supervisors and inform students about the result.
