Endeavour II Scholarships 2025 by Malta Government
ENDEAVOUR II Scholarships Scheme is intended to support good quality tertiary education at MQF level 7 and MQF level 8 to ensure that the Maltese labour market is supplied with the right individuals and to guarantee that it is in a better position to compete at an international level.
The scheme is aimed to support those pursuing this path to succeed both at the level of education attainment as well as contributing effectively towards the economy.
The key objectives of the ENDEAVOUR II Scholarships Scheme are to:
- assist people to pursue further levels of academic research.
- reduce skills mismatches particularly within the priority economic sectors.
- support further research in science and technology; and
- increase the capacity and level of research, innovation, and development activity in Malta.
This scholarship financially supports young students and adults pursuing Master’s and PhD programs. The objective of this scholarship is to teach skills that are in demand in Malta, which will contribute to the country’s economic development.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, a potential allowance, and study-related expenses. This scheme is financed by the European Union. The Maltese Government believes that postgraduate education plays an important role in any country’s economic and social agenda.

Requirements of the Endeavour II Scholarships 2025 by Malta Government
- Applicants are expected to identify no more than five (5) recognized institutions and programs/courses that they consider most appropriate on the Application Form.
Eligibility Criterias
- The Scholarship is open to Citizens of Europe and non-Europeans.
- The scholarship is targeted at Young students and adult learners to pursue studies at MQF Level 7 or MQF Level 8.
- MFQ Stands for the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF)
- MQF Level 7= Master Studies
- MQF Level 8= PhD Studies
- Do not hold the same level of qualification.
Note: If you already hold a Master’s degree, then you are eligible to apply for the PhD, but not for another Master’s or lower-level postgraduate certificate or diploma. Applicants who are already enrolled in a PhD degree program or at the same level as a PhD are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
