• The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining automated data collection tools, extracting structured data from a variety of websites, and supporting our property management operations.

Responsibilities of the Remote Software Developer/Web Scraper at Amazing Properties

• Design, build, and maintain robust web scraping scripts and tools.
• Extract, clean, and store data from real estate, rental, and legal platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot scraping jobs to ensure consistent data delivery.
• Ensure scraping methods comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Scrape and extract data from real estate and property listing platforms such as Crexi, Zillow, LoopNet, and similar.
• Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and implement solutions accordingly.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with web scraping using Python
• Experience handling anti-bot mechanisms, captchas, and rotating proxies.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM structures.
• Familiarity with data parsing and storage (JSON, CSV, databases).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
