Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program Introduces: 2025 Air Traffic Control Course On-Job-training Instructor 

Malaysia Aviation Academy (MAvA) is the designated training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

MAvA is certified as an Air Traffic Control – Approved Training Organisation (ATC-ATO) by CAAM as well as certified as a Full Member of the ICAO TRAINAIR Plus Programme.

The Course is about “Air Traffic Control” and is organized by the Malaysian Aviation Academy (MAVA) and offered by the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). Participants will receive support from the Government of Malaysia

The primary activities of MAVA are associated with Air Traffic Control (ATC) training includes a range of courses from ab-initio training for new recruits to other courses required to provide Air Traffic Services within Malaysia which observe ICAO standards and recommendation

MAVA has been conduction MTCP training courses since 1984 in the area of aviation related trainings for operational and management personnel to meet national and international needs while maintaining high level of persistency with ICAO directive with less ratification.

This On-Job-Training Instructor (OJTI) course will give participants a basic knowledge of teaching, practical methods, principles and tools to manage the interaction with the trainees during the course.

Objectives of the 2025 Air Traffic Control Course On-Job-training Instructor

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of skill/practical lesson (Brief-Monitor-Debrief) in simulator environment.
  • Prepare an effective skill/practical lesson/training (BMD) with suitable training aids.
  • Manage the trainees by using effective training strategies.
  • Present a practical lesson/training (BMD) employing instructional techniques and strategies appropriate to the topic, participants and instructional environment effectively
  • Present a good performance report
