Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team and take ownership of our financial processes, reporting, and compliance activities and build a world-class finance operation that gives Flinx Realty total clarity, control, and confidence as we scale.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Accountant at Flinx Realty, you will oversee the financial health of the company by managing accounting operations, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making with insightful financial data.
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Cash Flow reports, and Balance Sheets
- Develop and maintain reliable forecasting and budgeting frameworks aligned with the company’s growth trajectory
- Ensure 100% compliance with tax and regulatory obligations (FIRS, LIRS, PENCOM, etc.)
- Identify and help eliminate 15–20% cost leakages annually through data-driven insights and controls
- Drive internal audits, support external audits, and contribute to investor reporting and due diligence processes
- Design and improve internal systems for cost tracking, invoicing, and financial documentation
- Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, asset registers, and payroll oversight
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and legal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications and skills:
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA) required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting
- Minimum 3 years experience in real estate or construction finance
- Background in Big 4 accounting firms or audit is a strong advantage.
- Experience in high-growth companies (₦5B+ in revenue preferred)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and regulatory reporting
- Highly organized, systems-driven, and proactive with strong attention to detail
- Discreet and ethical with the ability to manage confidential information
- Strong proficiency in accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or similar platforms
- Excellent skills in budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial modeling
