OECD Internship Program 2026 for International Students
Applications are now open for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Internship 2026.
The OECD Internship Programmes aim to bring curious and motivated students from diverse backgrounds into the Organisation to support the work of the OECD.
It is an opportunity for successful candidates to work alongside policy experts and other specialists and build on their analytical and technical skills in an international environment.
The OECD welcomes interns on an ongoing basis. Students enrolled in a fully accredited degree programme, including bachelor’s and master’s degrees and PhDs, during the entire duration of their internship can apply online throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities of Interns
- Participating in the preparation of studies and documents.
- Carrying out research and reviews of existing materials.
- Collecting, organising, and analysing data.
- Contributing to the production of documents, working papers and publications resulting from the above activities, including drafting notes and preparing technical annexes.
- Participating in meetings and seminars.
- Liaising and building networks with officials in national administrations, researchers, other international organisations, and member country Delegations.
- Contributing to the organisation of events, communication, planning, and evaluation.

Eligibility Criterias for the OECD Internship Program 2026
To be considered for the OECD Internship Programme, you must meet the following requirements:
Academic Background
- Full-time student enrolled in a degree programme for the duration of the internship in a field or discipline related to the work of the OECD.
Professional Background
- International experience through studies, internships or professional activities would be an asset.
Tools
- Solid quantitative and computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Languages
- Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and/or knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated by academic success and professional achievements.
- Strong interest in the work of OECD in promoting international co-operation.
- Ability to plan and conduct research independently.
- Good organisational skills, ability to work effectively on the basis of general instructions, with the capacity to prioritise tasks, often according to tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work in a multicultural and team oriented environment and to adapt to changing working methods and technologies.
- Very good drafting and communication skills.
Perks of the OECD Internship Program 2026
- The OECD Internship Programme offers monthly stipends, skill acquisition, and networking opportunities for selected interns.
- The duration of the internship is for a period between one and six months (renewable up to a total of twelve months).
- Interns are recruited on a rolling basis, allowing applications to be submitted at any time, based on the availability of selected candidates and the needs of OECD hiring teams.
- Given that the selection process can take up to three months, it is advised to apply well in advance.
