About the Role of the Project Management Intern at E-Africa

  • We’re looking for a Project Manager Intern who’s not afraid to lead from the front.
  • This is a rare opportunity to work directly with the CEO and key stakeholders to manage and coordinate a cross-functional team of designers and developers building a web application with real-world relevance.
  • Whether you’re experienced in Agile/Scrum or eager to put your project management skills to test in a live tech environment, this role will provide hands-on leadership experience that makes a difference for you and for Africa.

Your Responsibilities as a Project Management Intern at E-Africa

As our PM Intern, you will:

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities between the design and development teams
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure clarity of task ownership and progress updates
  • Lead daily/weekly stand-up meetings or async reports
  • Track team performance using Agile principles (Scrum preferred)
  • Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve them
  • Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Use tools like Trello, Notion, or Google Workspace to manage tasks and documentation
  • Serve as the communication bridge between technical teams and leadership
  • Create weekly reports and brief updates on product progress
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, clarity, and agility.

Who We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have basic to intermediate experience in Agile/Scrum project management
  • Are familiar with working on digital products or SaaS development
  • Have led teams (formally or informally) or coordinated group projects
  • Are highly organized, a great communicator, and comfortable with remote tools
  • Want to work in a fast-growing African tech startup solving real problems
  • Are committed, proactive, and genuinely excited to be part of something impactful.

Bonus Points If:

  • You’ve led both design and development teams before
  • You’re already familiar with Agile ceremonies and product development workflows
  • You’ve worked in other internships or startups.and collaborative working environment.

Stipend

  • A modest stipend will be provided to support your participation. More importantly, this role offers real ownership and visibility , not just another task-checking internship.
