Job Description of the Remote IT Specialist at Presence Secure
- As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled IT Specialist to strengthen our technical team and support our commitment to excellence
- As an IT Specialist at Presence Secure, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless IT operations and delivering technical support across our distributed teams and client base.
- You will troubleshoot complex systems, implement security best practices, and contribute to the development of secure and efficient IT infrastructures for our clients.
- This is a fully remote role, ideal for a self-motivated professional with a passion for cybersecurity and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities of the Remote IT Specialist at Presence Secure
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and maintain IT systems, including user accounts, access rights, and cloud services.
- Deploy, configure, and monitor servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support and secure remote work environments using tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, and RDP.
- Implement and enforce IT security protocols, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and MFA.
- Assist in the development of IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity experts on threat mitigation and systems hardening.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in IT and cybersecurity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and cloud environments (Microsoft 365, AWS, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with remote support tools and helpdesk management systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
