Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, opened registration for their 2025 Schneider Go Green Competition.
Backed by Schneider Electric’s Youth Education & Entrepreneurship and Access to Energy programs, this challenge invites teams of students and young entrepreneurs from around the world to create solutions that promote reliable energy access, enhanced wellbeing, and greater cost savings for communities.
This year’s competition theme is ‘Renewable Energy for Life & Livelihood’, which splits into two key areas;
- The first is solar-powered agriculture like pre/post-harvesting, storage, and processing.
- The second is solar-powered micro businesses in fields such as retail, services, refrigeration, manufacturing, and production.
An exciting global challenge open to teams of students and young entrepreneurs from all backgrounds.
Your mission? To develop an innovative business model that delivers clean, affordable, and renewable energy solutions tailored to the needs of local communities.

Criterias for the Schneider Electric GO Green Challenge 2025
This is a global competition open to all students and young entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a difference through innovation in renewable energy. We invite you to join us in creating sustainable solutions for those who need it most.
- Current enrolled students aged 18 to 30
- Participants must have proficiency in English as the official language for the competition.
- Must participate in teams of up to 4 members. We encourage each team to be gender balanced.
- All team members must study in the same country, but they may attend different educational institutions, and be enrolled in different courses, and various academic years.
What you’ll Gain
- The top three winning teams will share a total prize pool of €10,000. (1st Place: €6,000, 2nd Place: €2,500, 3rd Place: €1,500)
